The Geek's NestNow with 50% more programming knowledge! 5/10/2007 Pushing through the fog. Must be humid.I try to stay off of this place to stop myself from ranting too much... I suppose I do well, no?
School is beginning to actually become tough, which disturbs me to the core. It doesn't help that everything is done in groups, thus, if my group members slack, I get no credit... But I have to do everything at once, and worry myself sick over whether my father is okay. (Say a prayer for him, he's been in the hospital for quite a while now.)
I can't believe how blind I am to things I can clearly see. 3/11/2007 What's the spherical root of idiocy divided by stress?I know, I know. I haven't posted for a while now. Not like anyone reads this as it is.
So. I'm pissed off right now. For Christmas, I had gotten this totally sweet widesreen monitor and we were running dual with it. I come home from school and the thing didn't want to lift to a viewable angle. I thought I'd fix it. Doesn't budge, I didn't want to push too hard on it. I get off the computer for a while and come to find it had fallen off the stand completely. So... I'm now using my old poopy monitor that ghosts like a haunted house. It's frustrating. We did find the warantee, however.
Um. School. just got done with a huge project. After a week of unbelievable stress I managed to finish it with full credit (158/158 pts.). I was seriously expecting to be graded down for the whole 'sounding-like-im-having-a-seizure-while-i-present' thing, but apparently our teacher just graded our trifolds with our actual 'stuff' on it.
Anyawy. Ugh. Practicing for our state-wide test starts this week. Schedules are screwed. I don't have lunch with any of my buds this week. This is gonna go by slow-beyond-reason. They decided to 'shuffle' the classes so we could 'get to know eachother' better. What's that going to do? They did this once and all it did was cause a mass-silence during our lunch because no one talked to eachother.
Gawd.
Game design. Not much advancement to be honest. I've just been working on a new TMP and attempting to make it all fit together correctly. We'll see how it looks soon.
World. Of. Warcraft. Is awesome. Obviously. Right now, I'm concentrating on an Orcish Rogue, he is currently level 19 and I plan to twink him for a decent amount of time. :) I need to do more WSG and get some honor so I can get some blue armor and daggers. Boi.
I don't really know what else to say... I'm rather disclosed with my thoughts these days. 12/11/2006 o rlyYeah, it's been over a month, I know. I haven't had anything really important to post about. Went to an antique shop yesterday. Bought a couple Atari games and a military jacket. :] Moon Patrol FTW. 4 days left until my winter break starts, yay. Turns out that there's a big animecon coming up. I might go. I don't know. If I do, my group of friends and I are going to cosplay. I'm probably going to do Kenshin. I dunno yet. The Wii came out. :D I need one, bad. *wink nudge* I officially started online gaming. Counter-Strike Source to be particular. I do... Decent. Actually. :O Dad says that after two weeks of keeping my room(s) clean, he's gonna open the router and get me WoW. The milestone is Saturday, and I get my sweet, sweet box of lusciously addictive gaming that is MMORPG. Anyhow. Game design. I've advanced. Sometime I'll post my model. It's basically a sniper rifle. It pwnz. >:3 Anyway... I'm really excited for vacation and getting teh WoW. I hear it's absolutely amazing. Uh... Manga! Yeah! I got to book 5 of Naruto. Yay! Okay, I got nothing left. Bai. 10/29/2006 Wow, an updateSo, I actually got around to updating this place. I haven't really gotten time to do much with it lately. Too much crap's been going on. I've had 5+ hours of homework 4/5 days of the week, but when I do get spare time I play Counter-Strike Source. I've gotten pretty good, actually. But I've got a lot of other news to share. I started reading manga. My favorite series are Naruto, Rurouni Kenshin, and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
The books should be a lot longer, though. They're only maybe a 3 hour read if you really go in-depth. -_- But, they rock, despite being 10 dollars a piece. Anyway, I started some real programming. We got Visual Studio 2005 but we're still trying to figure out what to use to teach me. We were going to use the AppDev DVD series (Which rocks, by the way) but it's $3000 for the whole set. But it's 16 DVD's worth, and I learn the entire VB language. But this'll teach me VB, and C#, with C# I can make Xbox games and Half-Life 2 mods. Anyway, let's see... What else. Ah, video games! Let's see... What's there to talk about... New games! Yeah! I tried out Rainbow Six Vegas and it is going to be one of my top wanted games. The graphics actually do look real. Not realistic. Real. I actually may be passing up Gears of War. There's a LOT of gore in it. I'm not sure. I'm definetely not Pre-Ordering it, though. I'm interested in Rainbow Six Vegas and Half-Life 2. If they just sold Portal and Episode Two separately, I'd just get them. :P But anyway, my Atari works fine. And that's pretty much it for this update. |
